Domande frequenti.

Choosing a dog harness for a short nosed dog

French Bulldogs, Pugs and other short nosed dogs can have body proportions that make harness fit especially important. Rather than choosing a harness only by breed, measure your dog's neck and chest and look for a secure fit that stays away from the throat and does not rub or shift during movement.

Why fit matters for short nosed breeds

Dogs within the same breed can have very different neck, chest and shoulder proportions. A harness that is too loose can twist or slide, while one that is too tight can pinch or restrict normal movement. Check the fit while your dog is standing and again while walking.

Y shape with four adjustment points

Our softly padded Y shaped dog harness has four adjustment points, giving you more room to fine tune the fit around your individual dog. The Y shape is designed to leave the shoulder area open when the harness is fitted correctly.

Three leash attachment points for different walks

The harness has three leash attachment points. The chest attachment can give you an extra way to guide a dog that moves strongly forward, but equipment does not automatically stop pulling and should be combined with comfortable handling and training.

Measure instead of choosing by breed alone

Use your dog's actual neck and chest measurements as the starting point and compare them with the size guide. Recheck that the straps stay away from the armpits, the harness does not press into the throat and your dog can move naturally.

Ask your vet when breathing or health is a concern

If your dog has breathing problems, a diagnosed airway condition or another medical issue that affects exercise or equipment choice, ask your veterinarian which walking setup is appropriate. A harness can change where leash pressure is applied, but it is not a treatment for an underlying condition.
