Cleaning a dog leash in 3 steps

Why your dog leash is easier to clean than your dog harness
A dog leash does not have an inner lining that fits against the coat and no... adjustment points that retain dirt like a harness does. The waterproof coating also makes superficial dirt easier removable, without having to soak it.
Cleaning a dog leash in 3 steps
- Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap. Work the entire length of the strap, paying extra attention to the handle.
- Rinse with clean water. A second cloth without soap is enough to remove soap residue.
- Allow to air dry. Hang the belt, not in the dryer and not in direct sunlight.
Collar and handsfree leash you wash differently
Our waterproof collar follows same steps as the dog leash, as both are waterproof. One handsfree belt with hip belt often has an extra cummerbund that works just like a gear is against the body, give it just a little more attention decrease.
What you should not do
- Do not put the belt in the washing machine, even if it is waterproof, this is not necessary and can damage buckles.
- Do not use aggressive chemical cleaners or bleach, mild soap is sufficient.
- Do not let the belt dry in the dryer or near a heater, as this may damage the coating.
- Do not assume that a dog harness can tolerate the same treatment, as that can only be done by hand.
This way your leash and collar stay fresh for longer
Wipe off the leash immediately after a muddy walk instead of waiting until the dirt has dried. Then let it dry thoroughly before storing it, so that no moisture remains. That already prevents most odors.
When is it better to replace a leash or collar than to wash it

Often because it was not completely dry before you put it away. After cleaning, let the belt dry thoroughly before using or storing it again.
