UnboringByPip respects the privacy of all visitors to our webshop. In this privacy policy we explain which personal data we collect, why we do so, and how we handle it. This policy is in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What data do we collect?

We only collect data necessary to process your order and provide you with a good experience.

When placing an order:

Email address
Delivery address and billing address
Phone number (if provided)
Payment details (processed by our payment provider, not stored by us)
Order history

When creating an account:

Name
Email address
Password (stored encrypted by Shopify)

When signing up for the newsletter:

Email address

When visiting the webshop:

IP address
Browser type and device information
Pages visited and click behaviour (if you have accepted cookies)

3. What do we use your data for?

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

Processing and shipping your order
Sending order and shipping confirmations by email
Handling returns and refunds
Answering questions via email or the contact form
Sending newsletters and offers (only if you have signed up)
Improving our webshop and analysing visitor behaviour
Complying with legal obligations (such as tax administration)

4. Who do we share your data with?

We only share your data with parties necessary for our services:

Shopify: Our webshop platform. Shopify processes orders, payments and customer data on our behalf. Read Shopify's privacy policy.
PostNL: Our shipping service. They receive your name and delivery address to deliver your order.
Payment providers (iDEAL, Klarna, credit card): Process your payment. We do not store credit card numbers or bank details.
Google Fonts: We use fonts from Google. Your IP address may be shared with Google in the process.

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Cookies

Our webshop uses cookies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit our website.

Necessary cookies: Cookies required for the webshop to function, such as remembering your shopping cart and login status.

Analytical cookies (optional): Cookies that allow us to analyse visitor behaviour to improve the webshop. These are only placed if you give consent via our cookie banner.

You can change your cookie preferences at any time via your browser settings.

6. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Our webshop runs on the Shopify platform, which uses SSL encryption and complies with the PCI-DSS standard for payment security.

7. Retention period

We do not keep your personal data longer than necessary:

Order data: 7 years (legal retention obligation for the tax authorities)
Account data: As long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account at any time.
Newsletter data: Until you unsubscribe.
Cookie data: A maximum of 12 months.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

Access: You may request which data we hold about you.
Rectification: You can have incorrect data corrected.
Erasure: You can request that your data be deleted.
Objection: You can object to the use of your data for marketing purposes.
Portability: You can request to receive your data in a readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, send an email to hello@unboringbypip.com. We respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

9. Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The most recent version is always available on our website. In case of significant changes, we will notify you by email or via a notice on the website.
