The right size makes the difference between comfort and chafing. In 3 steps, you measure your dog for the perfect harness.
What do you need to measure your dog?
A flexible measuring tape (like the tape you see at the tailor). No ruler or stiff measuring tape; they do not follow the curves of your dog well. Don't have a measuring tape? Use a piece of string, mark it, and then measure it with a ruler.
Pro tip: measure your dog after a walk, when he is calm. Measuring an energetic dog is a sport in itself. Let him stand upright and make sure he is relaxed.
3 steps to measure your dog for a harness.
It sounds simpler than it is, but with these three steps, you can be sure that you choose the right size. Take your time and measure twice to be sure.
Step 1: Chest circumference
Measure the widest point of the chest, just behind the front legs. Wrap the measuring tape around, snugly but not tightly. This is the most important measurement for a harness.
Step 2: Neck circumference
Measure around the neck at the spot where a collar normally sits — the bottom of the neck, at the base of the chest. Not too high by the ears.
Step 3: Finger test
After measuring, you should be able to fit two flat fingers between the measuring tape and your dog. One finger = too tight. Three fingers = too loose, your dog slips out.

We see these three mistakes most often. Avoid them and you will immediately have the right size.
Measuring too tightly
Your dog should be able to breathe normally. Do not pull the measuring tape tight. Put it on, let it rest. The two-finger test is your friend.
Wrong place
Measure the chest, not the belly. The widest point is just behind the front legs, not halfway along the body.
Winter coat forgotten
Are you buying in the summer? Keep in mind the winter coat. Some breeds gain 2-3 cm in chest circumference in the winter.

My dog is between two sizes, what now?
Always choose the larger size. Our harness is adjustable at 4 points, so it can always be tightened. The other way around is not possible.
Do I need to measure separately for a collar?
Yes. The collar goes on the neck circumference, the harness on the chest circumference. So two different sizes.
How often should I measure again?
Puppies: every 2 to 4 weeks, they grow quickly. Adult dogs: once a year or when the weight changes.
Can I exchange the harness if the size is not correct?
