The harness designed by a Stafford.
Pip is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and the founder of UNBORINGBYPIP. This harness was literally designed and tested by a Stafford. Here we explain why it is a perfect fit for this breed.
This harness was designed by a Stafford.
Pip is an English Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She is the reason UNBORINGBYPIP exists. When we couldn't find anything that looked good and could handle her adventures, we decided to make it ourselves. Every product is tested by her.
Staffords are powerhouses with a heart of gold. They pull hard, play rough, and jump through everything. A harness for a Stafford must be sturdy, fit well on their wide chest, and be able to take a beating. That is exactly what we built.
What a Stafford needs in a harness.
Staffords have a wide, muscular chest, a thick neck, and a compact build. Many harnesses don't fit well: too narrow, too long, or too weak. The Unboring harness was designed with exactly this body type in mind.
Wide Y-chest panel
The wide Y-shaped chest panel distributes pressure across the full width of the chest. No narrow straps cutting into the muscles.
Sturdy brass hardware
Staffords are strong. That is why all clips, rings and buckles are solid brass. No cheap plastic that breaks after two weeks.
Front clip for anti-pull
The front clip helps with pull training. Your Stafford automatically turns towards you when pulling, instead of pulling through.
What size harness fits a Stafford?
Most Staffordshire Bull Terriers fit size S or M. Size S (chest 40-56 cm) fits females and smaller Staffords. Size M (52-72 cm) fits males and sturdier ones. Pip herself wears size S.
Measure the chest at the widest point. For Staffords, that is really wide. Leave two fingers of room. Check our size guide for exact sizes. Available in four colors: Cocoa, Lilac, Moonlight Blue and Moss.

Frequently asked questions.
What size harness does a Stafford need?
Size S (chest 40-56 cm) for females and smaller Staffords. Size M (52-72 cm) for males. Pip wears size S. Always measure at the widest point of the chest.
Is this harness strong enough for a Stafford?
Yes. All hardware is solid brass, the straps are durable nylon, and the entire harness was designed and tested by Pip, a Stafford that pulls through everything. If it works for Pip, it works for your Stafford.
My Stafford pulls enormously. Does this harness help?
The front clip makes it harder to keep pulling. Your Stafford automatically turns towards you. But a harness alone doesn't solve pulling. Combine with training. Read our anti-pull guide for tips.
Can my Stafford escape from the harness?
If it fits properly, no. Measure up, choose the right size, and adjust the harness tight enough that you can hold two fingers in between. The 4 adjustable points ensure a safe fit on the wide Stafford chest.
