We use flex-poly coated nylon: a sturdy nylon base material with a waterproof coating. Comparable properties to Biothane, but more flexible in hand. How does it compare to the classics?
Flex-poly coated nylon (our choice)
100% waterproof. Does not absorb odor. Just wipe off after mud. No maintenance needed. Lasts for years without cracking or fading.

Uncoated nylon
Cheap and light, but absorbs water like a sponge. Dries slowly. Becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. Smells after a month already.

Our waterproof dog leash is available in two sizes: Standard (dogs up to 36 kg) and S (90 grams, dogs up to 14 kg). Maintenance: just diverting and ready.
That's literally it. After a muddy walk: just rinse it under the tap. After the beach: just wipe it with a wet cloth. No special products needed, no greasing rituals, no washing machine. The material absorbs nothing, so there's nothing to clean. Just the dirt on the surface.
And what if you accidentally throw the belt in the washing machine? No panic. The material can handle it just fine. But it's simply not necessary.

Is your material the same as Biothane?
Comparable. Both are coated and share the same core properties: waterproof, odor-resistant, and easy to clean. We use flex-poly coated nylon, specifically selected for flexibility and grip.
Can I take the belt to the beach?
Absolutely. Sand and saltwater wash off easily. No damage to the material, no rust on the hardware (solid brass). This is exactly what it is made for.
How long does a waterproof belt last?
Years. Flex-poly coated nylon does not crack like leather, and does not discolor like uncoated nylon. The brass hardware does not rust. With normal use, the material lasts effortlessly 3 to 5 years.
Is waterproof also suitable for puppies?
Sure. Puppies are messy. Mud, pee, chew. A waterproof leash is the most practical choice during the messy puppy phase. Our size S (130 cm, 90 grams) is light enough for small pups.
